Early Childhood Program

EARLY CHILDHOOD AT MARIA REGINA

Maria Regina School prides itself on our exceptional Early Childhood Program. Our highly qualified teaching staff prepares challenging and motivated activities for their children so that learning is as easy as child’s play. Studies prove that the single most outstanding factor for success in a child’s education is, “the teacher.” Here our children and their young families can begin in our school at 3 years old. These Nursery children are nurtured in a school environment which is rich in spiritual and family values.  Our 3 year olds begin their journey learning basic developmental and readiness skills along with rich socialization opportunities in a Christ-centered environment.

Our 4 year olds participate in our Pre-Kindergarten where children are motivated and engaged in developmental readiness centers. Children build upon the skills learned in the Nursery and Pre-Kindergarten Programs to develop a sound foundation for our Kindergarten.

After two solid years of rich cognitive, social and spiritual development our 5 year olds soar in our Kindergarten Program. With the rich experiences our Nursery and Pre-Kindergarten Programs provide our students make great strides as early as the Fall in our Kindergarten Program. In Kindergarten children are exposed to rich literature and writing experiences along with challenging math, science and social studies opportunities.

Our children begin lifelong friendships among their peers and their school community  families. Faith-filled experiences and moral values are woven throughout  school, classroom and parish activities.

Our school celebrated Early Childhood week from Sunday, October 19th thru Friday, October 25th.  Teachers prepared exceptional lessons which immersed our children into learning. Work samples were on display in the classroom, hallways and walls. Since learning is a life-long journey to begin at Maria Regina School our Open House, parent tours were given by our own 8thgrade students. These students are our greatest joy, many of whom spent their first 10 years of their lives in our community. “Golden Tickets” were given to all who toured our program to guarantee them a seat in January for registration.

To close the week our children participated in a prayer service in our private chapel. Be sure to view all the activities of the entire celebration.

Be sure to watch our website for our Open House and registration in January. We look forward to seeing you at our next Open House and journeying with your child and your family throughout their learning at Maria Regina School.
