Education: I started my educational career at Maria Regina Elementary School. Following my graduation in 1998, I attended Massapequa High School. For my undergraduate studies, I attended St. Joseph's College, Patchogue, NY. There I was President of the History Club for 3 years and a member of the Student Government Association (SGA) Senate. I also was a member of the Dean's Service Circle and was in several honor societies. After graduating with my BA, I became a New York State Certified teacher. For my graduate studies, I attended American Military University (AMU). When enrolled there, I was inducted into the Golden Key International Honour Society. I graduated with honors, and was also awarded the Academic Scholar Award in Arts and Humanities. This honor is only given to one student per graduating year.
Experience: Prior to being hired by Maria Regina to teach full time, I was a substitute teacher in both the Massapequa School District and at Maria Regina. I have taught L.A., Reading, and Social Studies to the 5th and 6th grades, Religion to the 6th and 7th grade, and Social Studies to grades 6-8. As I enter my 11th year here at Maria Regina, I will be teaching Social Studies to the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. I am also CPR and First Aid Certified.
Personal: During my spare time, I enjoy spending it with my family and friends. I also love to spend time with my 2 adorable dogs, Rocky and Teddy. My hobbies include poetry, music, playing the drums, history, and interior design. I am also a huge Peanuts comic fanatic.
