Academic Intervention
Academic Intervention - Reading is taught by Mrs. Schachner, Monday-Friday. Students in grades K-5, who receive AIS, are identified by teachers, parents, and/or test scores.

Academic Intervention is a strategy used to teach/reinforce a new skill, build fluency in a skill, or encourage a student to apply an existing skill to new situations or settings.

The goal of Maria Regina's AIS program is to help a student improve in an area of need. This program provides daily, intensive, small-group instruction which supplements classroom literacy teaching.
