Mrs. Linda Smith
This is my 11th year teaching at Maria Regina School.  I will be in the Library once again this year.  My past experiences in education are in public, private and Catholic schools in New York City and Nassau County. During the summer, I work at the Manhasset School District Summer Center Program.

I received a BS and MS in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from St. John's University.  I also have Permanent Certification from New York State in grades N-6.  I attended both the elementary and high school of St. Angela Hall Academy in the Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn.  I am a product of a Catholic school education, and this is why I truly enjoy teaching here at Maria Regina.

I am married and have two children, a boy named Frank,  who is the curator at the JP Metras Sports Museum on the campus of the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. My daughter Alexandra  is an Emergency Room Technician at Winthrop University Hospital. She has just been accepted to the NYIT PA MS program.  She will begin her studies in September 2017. She is also a volunteer EMT for the Cold Spring Harbor Fire Department. The Smith household is also blessed with two adorable chihuahuas, three cats, and a parrot.

I am an avid walker and simply love being one with nature. Family is very important to me, and my great joy is getting together with all of my wonderful relatives for family dinners and parties.

Jesus said to them..."Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these..." And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them.
