SQ3R Study Method
SURVEY: Glance through textbook pages before you read them in detail. Look at chapter headings, highlighted vocabulary, introductory and summary paragraphs, diagrams, and pictures.
QUESTION: Think about what you've previewed. Write down several questions you think you will know the answers to after reading the material.
READ: Carefully read the materials to find the answers to your questions.
RECITE: When you find an answer to one of your questions, stop reading and recite the answer aloud. Continue to read until you have finished the assignment.
REVIEW: After reading the material, review what you have read. Skim through the material and write down answers to your questions. Record any other interesting facts you discover along the way.
